How do I search by call numbers?

Answer

If you have the call number for an item, you can retrieve an item record which will give you bibliographic and status information (title, publisher, location, checked out, etc.). Just type the call number in OneSearch.

If you're having difficulties, you can try a Browse which might give you better results.

If the call number starts with letters (e.g. looks something like this HV 8688 .L66 2011) change the dropdown menu from "Select the list to browse" to "by Library of Congress Call Numbers" then type your call number in the box.

Type your call number into the box - if it starts with numbers (e.g. looks something like this 372.7 .M22ca 2009) change the dropdown menu from "Select the list to browse" to "By Dewey Call numbers" then click Browse.
