Q. Is the Library open to the public?

Yes! The Library is open to the community. Our books and journals support the academic areas taught on campus.

Can I check out books? Yes, with purchase of a Community Borrower or Alumni Borrower card.

Can I use the Library's computers? Yes, some of them. Anybody can use the Library's designated Research Stations on the 2nd floor to access the Internet, library catalog, and library databases.  Only current Sac State students, faculty and staff with active Saclink accounts can use computers with word processing and other production software.

Do you have WiFi for guests? Yes, campus visitors have wireless access but at a reduced speed.

If I buy a library card, can I access the Library's databases from off campus? No. However, community members and alumni can search OneSearch to identify books, articles and much, much more (full-text of articles is still restricted).
