I'm faculty and a film I need for my course is not available in streaming format. What should I do?

Answer

If the Library is unable to acquire a film in streaming format, we will purchase the physical DVD when available. Faculty may consider one of these alternative methods listed here for sharing films with their students, or work with your Subject Librarian to identify alternate films.

  • Borrow the physical DVD from the Library to show in class.
  • Place the physical DVD on Course Reserve for students to borrow and view on their own or in groups. Use the the online request form to submit your request.
  • Reserve the Media Viewing Room for your class to watch a film on DVD.

If you have questions about course materials in streaming format, please contact the Reserve Team at (916) 278-6708 or email lib-reserve@csus.edu.
