How do I know when a streaming license will expire for a film I use in my class?

Answer

The most common licenses for streaming films is 1 year, 3 years or perpetual. Other licensing options may be available.

When you search for a film in OneSearch, the film's licensing information will display (see image below). If you can't locate the licensing info for a film, click on the 'Report a Problem' link and someone from the Library will contact you.

If the license for a film you plan to use as course material is expiring before you plan to show the film in class, submit a media purchase request using the Course Reserve Request Form and the Reserve Team will begin the process to renew the license.
