Why can’t I place borrowed materials from other libraries on course reserves?

Materials borrowed through other institutions are intended for individual research and study purposes, not for shared use in course reserves. The lending libraries impose restrictions on how their materials can be used, which typically prohibit placing them on reserve for a class.
